A Remorhaz also known as a polar worm, ice worm, or frost worm is a monstrous beast resembling a cross between a worm and a centipede. A Remorhaz is a creature that thrives in cold environments, particularly arctic regions. It has leathery tough wings (which it can not use to fly), an insect-like head, and a 40 feet scaly body. It is ice-blue in color, has dozens of legs, and its back glows red with an inner fire that can melt all but the strongest of metals. It has horns along its body and dagger-like teeth, and has naturally had very high magic resistance.
The Chitin of the remorhaz can be used to make Medium Chitin Armor and Heavy Chitin Armor.
Few adventurers cross Remorhaz and live to tell the tale. The crew of The Sea Wolf have met at least one person who has - The Old Lady, bartender at The Mace and Flail, whose massive sword still hangs behind the bar. Through her the Berserker was provided Heavy Chitin Armor who has since used it to great effect, becoming nigh unstoppable in the fighting pits which make up The Mace and Flail
