Session 1:

Day 1 of our voyage

We were all summoned by mysterious circumstances to embark on a voyage. Destination unknown. Manning the ship were 10 crew. Of the 10, 7 were combat ready. The Rapier wielding Captin, Glub the simple and brutish first mate, dapi the inaccurate crossbow-man(dobby), two captain quarter’s guard, and 2 guards of a sealed room below deck whom worked in rotating shifts. The rest of the crew consisted of a Kobold cook, now deceased, a cowardly deck scrubber, and a lookout.

Upon Starting our voyage, We all went about handling our own buisness. Hardough of the blade, spent his time in meditation near the Captins quarters. Pippin (Thats me!), Decided that the deck could use a good swab so me and lady cluck got to work cleaning the way that old man feathers taught us, scrub skiing. He always said it was one of the best ways to foster a strong connection between a rider and his companion. Lok’tar, a very large and very unclothed bug-bear male seems to also believe in the bonding power of cleaning. While unconventional, I can’t say his wolf isn’t a great mop. Castus and Huckleberry, seem to have kindled a quick friendship, though I missed most of their conversation while skiing. Newt a magical goblin, Joined in the deckhand fun and started dancing. Though I don’t think Glub approved of her display as he gave her quite the glare while she was dancing (Failed attemt at sneaky ominous whispers). Oryx seemed to have dissappeared after a time. While we were enjoying ourselves someone(I forget who), found out we were heading to Daedalian Dungeons. Those who go there rarely are seen again.

After all the dancing, bonding, and deck swabbing Pippin, Castus, Huck, Lok’tar (whom now had a large bowie knife. but still no cloths), and newt headed below deck.

The Kobold chef cooked(??) us some disturbingly good slop. The cook even ripped some of Dennis’ fur out to add to the pot. Dennis was not pleased with this. Despite the hair and other questionable ingredients it tasted clucking good. While we were enjoying slop, Newt sweetalked the guard infront of the ominous door below deck. Castus seemed quite disinterested in it. He insited it was just prisoners, which would make sense given our destination. BUT what if it was treasure? This is a pirate ship after all.

After some time below deck, the Captain came below deck to order the guards to switch which started a bit of a stir. After a cluck or two, Castus Shouts ā€œThats not the Captain!ā€œ. Turns out the Captain was Oryx! How Castus could tell I may never know. After that the ship became a varitable henhouse.

Newt and Oryx made quick work of the goblin by the door. Huck and Pippin guarded the stairway to the upperdeck. Lok’tars mop Dennis decided to take revenge on the Kobold. Por sap didn’t know what hit em. The first guard that Newt had sweet talked leaped down the stair way to face Huck and I. No sooner had he landed than Huck had sent him through the floor with his anchor. Newt, scampered her way between my legs, as I stood in between Hucks guarding the door. with the immediate threat handled, huck and Pippin broke formation and headed upstairs after Newt. As we crested the stairs Newt and Lok’tar were laying waste to the captain. Pippin and Huck went to confront Glub.

While this was all happening Hardough was taking on several guards like a one man army. He is scary. His movements were so slick that his blade seemed to just pass right through those before him; Whilst theirs found only the cold sea air.

Glub was quickly dispatched after a poke from pippins spear and an anchor to the face. Once the captain and glub were dispatched that only left poor dapi. Lok’tar, well, Lok’tar ended him swiftly.

Once the crew were dispatched We explored the captains quarters. Inside sat a mytical dice (spooooookyyyy), a strange locked up candle, and a map.

Then we checked on the treasure room. Turns out Castus was right there were just prisoners in the bay. No treasure :(. The prisoners were dwarves, and come from the deeps. Castus seemed particularly interested in this. Suspiciously so…

We ended the day manning our new ship, under the light of a full moon.

TL;DR – Mutiny at Sea

The party was mysteriously summoned for a voyage with an unknown destination.

The ship had a crew of 10, most combat-ready;

Characters bonded while swabbing the deck: Pippin and Lady Cluck used scrub-skiing, Newt danced, and Lok'tar used his wolf, Dennis, as a mop.

Someone discovered the ship was headed to the deadly Daedalian Dungeons.

Below deck, the kobold chef served disturbingly delicious slop (with some of Dennis' fur). Suspicion grew around the locked room.

Plot twist: Oryx was impersonating the captain! Called out by Castus.

Chaos erupted. Guards were defeated, the kobold chef was slain (by Dennis), and a brutal fight took place above and below deck.

Hardough soloed guards like a graceful murder machine.

Glub and the true Captain were defeated; Dapi met a swift end.

Loot check: No treasure—just imprisoned dwarves. Castus seemed very interested...

Session ended with the party now captains of the ship, under the light of a full moon.
